Only reason that you are trying to find a person using his/her number instead of their name is because you don’t know their name. But do not worry, there are a couple of ways that you can find someone on Twitter (now known as X), by a phone number.

Also you will learn how to sync your address book and leverage alternative search methods to find your old crush or anyone.

But is it possible to find someone’s X / Twitter account with a phone number? Let’s find that out.

Step 1: Open the X app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Tap your profile icon located in the top left corner.

Step 3: Navigate to Settings & Support > Settings and privacy.

Step 4: Select “Privacy and safety”

Step 5: Tap “Discoverability and contacts.”

Step 6: Activate the switch next to “Sync address book contacts.” If prompted, tap “ALLOW” to grant access to your contacts.

By syncing your address book, X app can suggest profiles based on phone numbers linked to your contacts.

If you want to mass delete your Tweets, you can read this useful yet interesting article.

Limitations:

⦁ X (Twitter) doesn’t directly search by phone number: We tried to search using a phone number on the X app and we can assure you that you can’t search the X app for accounts by phone number itself. There is no built-in function for this.

⦁ While some people on social media complain about their internet or Netflix not working, they might accidentally reveal their phone number in their posts. If you’re lucky, you might find someone’s X profile if they’ve publicly shared their phone number.

Alternatives to phone number search:

⦁ Username search: If you have any usernames or emails linked to the person, searching X directly with those might be more successful.

⦁ Mutual connections: Look for mutual friends or acquaintances who might follow both of you on the X platform.

Want to see if your mysterious crush or that coworker with the cryptic tweets has an X account? Here’s how to dig up the dirt (the good kind!) using just their phone number and Google:

⦁ Open your web browser: Launch your preferred web browser on your computer or mobile device.

⦁ Go to Google: Navigate to the Google homepage by entering www.google.com in the address bar.

⦁ Enter the search query: In the search bar, type the phone number followed by the word “Twitter.” or “X” For example, if the phone number is 123–456–7890, you would enter 123–456–7890 Twitter.

⦁ Review the search results: Press Enter or click the search button. Look through the search results for any links that might indicate a connection between the phone number and a X profile.

Mostly Asked Question:

Question: How do I sync my contacts with X / Twitter?

Answer: To sync your contacts with Twitter, open the app, navigate to Settings & Support > Settings and privacy > Privacy and safety > Discoverability and contacts, then activate “Sync address book contacts.”

So, try any of the above methods and maybe you will find what you are looking for.
